Modern Mom Times
It's not easy to be a mom these days, especially when money is tight. A modern mom has to be a lot of things including a nurse, short order cook, arachnid identifier, basic Girl Scout cadette, cleaner & multitasker, and even a haircut artist, not simply a mediocre hair-cutter. Oh no. Style is more important for our kids than it is for us. So what if my shirt's inside-out and there's dried slobber on my sweats; I will clean up quite nicely by the end of the day. It's definitely not easy being a mom these days, but it sure is fun. The new phraseologies, youthful exuberance and laughter keep me more content than I ever imagined possible. The fact that they are my exact size now, come up and kiss me or say, "I love you, Mama," and from one moment to the next one is so much like my Dad or my Mom or my aunt or Papa, or just some completely new awesome person, this reality has me consistently astounded. I see it in flashes, and it changes so quickly, but not before I can ponder it with a truly deep peace setting in. God I love them. Thank You for loaning them to me for however long. They are my perfectly imperfect treasures <3 I promised to make time and take them and their friends to the movies, and planning that, with all btom was up to them, so they're making it happen. Kudos to my multitasking and delegating abilities. It's now down to Mr. Peabody and Sherman for gals, and the new 300 movie for the boys. Gosh! I want to see both though. Wonder if we could work it out with ninja facetimeing? You'd be surprised what these "kids" can do.
