I try not to be bothered too much by profanity these days because the worst of it has become especially commonplace. The middle schoolers use it profusely as they exit the school gates, and high schoolers everywhere else. Oddly, adults do not speak it publicly very much. It's texted and tweeted, quoted and shared, and used in print or privacy, once one becomes mature. That's annoying too! I try not to be bothered, but am...losing...battle...AHHH! I think I spelled a scream wrong, so should I drop an F-bomb? Cut my finger earlier, should I have shouted expletives to the birds? I think not. It just sounds ugly.
