Indian in me

My great grandmother was one quarter Cherokee on my mom's side and used to walk four miles a day around the Palm Desert golf course and thru the various surrounding neighborhoods.  I know because I went with her every day for two weeks one summer, and she had me memorize Bible chapters during our down time.  I always deeply respected her, my Nanny.  She had such great legs as an elderly woman.  I mean, wow!  You wouldn't believe it.
I'm bummed that I sprained my ankle the other day, but have been limping on it just right and feel up to a good walk now, at least two miles today, I think, so long as it's languid.  Its swollen to three times it's size and is rather ugly, but I made it to and through Justice with my daughter yesterday, and today it's feeling stronger.  It must have only been a slight sprain.  No more walking the giant spry dogs after a rainstorm.  It was the mud that twisted my ankle.
Most everyone has told me for the past week to rest and stay off of Frankenfoot for a while, but I felt it was getting stronger with careful use.  I was right :)
